Michael Koslow
Michael S. Koslow is a retired Supervisory Special Agent, who served the Department of Defense within the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) and Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) at offices in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Belgium, and Germany. Special Agent Koslow had been detailed to the FBI Los Angeles Field Office for eight years providing assigned FBI Agents mentorship and his expertise in government multi-billion contractor fraud, counterintelligence matters, and healthcare fraud investigations. Special Agent Koslow held FBI Top Secret (TS) and DoD Compartmentalized Program security clearances.
Department of Defense/OIG and AFOSI: Special Agent Koslow managed and supervised large-scale, high-profile, sensitive and highly classified federal investigations with a particular focus on white-collar offenses (e.g. financial crimes, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, False Claims Act, and healthcare fraud); as well as, matters of national security, intelligence community counterintelligence, and defense industry security. Mr. Koslow offers corporate and individual clients three decades of private industry and government innovative investigative leadership experience.
National Healthcare Fraud Undercover Operation: As a Healthcare Fraud investigative leader, Special Agent Koslow was tasked to provide direction and supervision over Special Agents assigned to the FBI, DoD, DOL, DEA, USPS, and IRS involving the use of an undercover medical clinic “DURASCAM” into Nigerian and Russian organized crime-backed medical fraud. The operation resulted in dozens of arrests and millions of dollars in fines, forfeitures and recoveries due to durable medical equipment (DME), pharmacy and laboratory fraudulent practices. Special Agent Koslow has extensive experience in multiple civil and criminal trial preparations for county, state, federal and appellate court jurisdictions. Special Agent Koslow also has extensive experience within both the private sector and government as an undercover operative.
Private Industry: In addition to Mr. Koslow’s federal government investigative and prosecution experience as it relates to Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare-Medicaid Duals, TriCare and private insurance healthcare fraud enforcement and compliance, he has greatly expanded his experience by working in the healthcare industry. Mr. Koslow, as a Special Investigative Unit Regional Manager, was successful in innovating private insurance healthcare fraud investigative methods as recognized benchmark programs with one of the top three national healthcare insurance carriers. He and his team were lauded by government prosecutors, State Medicaid Fraud Control Units, Federal and State Regulators throughout multiple States for their ability to thwart emerging fraudulent trends and schemes within the healthcare industry. Mr. Koslow’s team yielded a 900% increase of Medicare-Medicaid savings and $46 million in overall annual team savings to the company by working with medical industry CEOs, physicians, psychiatrists, medical billers/coders, analytics professionals, and subject matter experts.
Education: Mr. Koslow graduated with a Master in Science in public administration from Georgetown University. Mr. Koslow served in the United States Air Force and retired with 33 years of service in the prestigious rank of Command Chief Master Sergeant for the California Air National Guard working on the General Officer’s and California Governor’s senior staff.
